What is your opinions ?

I'm thinking of chopping my sweet corn tops off , and maybe also the leaves .the squirrels have not bothered them since attaching old CD discs to the stems .but they still need a lot more Sun to ripen . The sweet corn is solid cobs but .just isn't ripening.

    What is your reasoning for cutting the tops off? I think we have to just put this down as a bad year for some; me included. Last year I had so many I could hardly keep up with them!

    Think if I trim them down the sun will reach them better, the cobs are all full and solid about 9 inch long they just have not had enough Sun to ripen.
