    Oh not for a few months yet art...image

    Mine self seed into the middle of the drive hollie hock, (cracked tarmac mostly) rarely on the garden

    Mine (this year's seedlings) are large enough to see without a microscope now.

  • Like others have said, overwatering is so easy to do...I have lost seedlings too this way, especially basil.

    Nowadays I just spritz them with water from a spray can 'til soil is dampish, rather than watering with a little can. It doesn't flatten them and you don't end up drowning them either!

    As for the warmth/growing slowly - yeah well, I feel cold and slow these days, so I'm not surprised the plants are showing it too image

    More damage done by waterlogging than cold usually. With verb.bon, if you think- what do Mediterranean herbs like ? -  pretty much same conditions suit them.

  • One of the few tall plants that can go at the front of the border....it's a see through plant.
