Looking at the map again, what I find weird is that there are huge swathes of the UK, with no members: apparently none in Northern Ireland, none in a large area between St Albans and to the far west of Oxford, few in some areas of Scotland and Wales (Alan 4711, I didn't realise you lived in Tenby; some of my favourite people live thereimage)

Perhaps it is time we had a new map - maybe the lovely people who run this site could ask newcomers to position themselves on the map as it is hard giving gardening advice when you have no idea of the growing conditions. (...and I don't really mean me giving the adviceimage)

It would have to be easy to put oneself on the map. When Blackest started it he put some of us, including me, on it as we didn't know how.

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

Dove, when I clicked on your link I only got the maps, not the ones with our flags on.

Is it just my tablet it wont register on?

Gardening on the wild, windy west side of Dartmoor.

  • I managed to put the balloon on, but don't know how to put my name on the list.  I'm in Ashton-in-Makerfield, right by Haydock Racecourse and 6 miles south of Wigan.

Maybe my ears were burning and that's what brought me back to post.
