Turning over a new Leaf

Hi all, I just started to develop a green thumb this year when I could no longer bare looking at my own garden. I bought the house with my partner & the garden wasn't previously cared for, so this summer I set my mind to it and spent most days grafting on it.
Here are some pictures of garden 'before - to date'.

    Hi Korno,

You've made a good start with some lovely colourful plants. If you want to keep the interest going throughout the winter then you could plant some evergreen shrubs and they will also act as a backdrop to your flowers during the summer months.

    Good luck with the project.

  • Hi Korno, well done to you, obviously you have worked very hard, as we all know gardening hard work.

If I were you I would allow yourself some time to think of a plan for each plot.

First as a new gardener find the answers to these questions

What  type of soil  you have.

Which plot is in the sun or shade most of the day

Which plants will grow in those type of conditions

Which, of this plants do I like and want in the right places.

Also, the plot at the front of your house needs consideration, will people walk on it?

How high do you want plants to grow?

thats probably enough to think about for now.????
