Why is my thyme growing???
OK a bit of an odd opener but I have had these two plants for about 2 years and they have never really done anything just looked like they where planing to up sticks any day soon. Now they both have put on quite a lot of soft growth. Can't figure out why they have started to grow this spring compated to last. Its been cold and rainy here in Bristol and I thought they liked it to be dry and hot.

Mine also took some time to get going, but are vigorous now. The soil in that bed is dry and poor, which it does seem to like, but the wet summer didn't slow it at all.
It's taken two years' to get here. Could it be that the soil is finally poor enough for it to thrive?
Maybe it's been concentrating on root growth until now?
