Salix Repens Iona

I have a Salix Repens Iona (see picture). Please could you tell me if the 2 shoots growing from the base are normal and part of the plant, or something it was grafted onto, which should be removed? Thanks.

Can you see a graft clk? suckers from a rootstock are always a danger with grafted plants.

Hi nutcutlet. The graft seems to be much further up on the plant and sealed with wax. I would be thinking along your lines if that were not the case. However, should I look for a graft lower down as well?

No clk, anything below the graft is from the rootstock, take them off.
