  • I do wish the real ones would flower for longer  a month or so just isn't long enough.

I saw a lovely picture of white foxgloves planted amongst the ferns so I'm going to plant some white one in the fern bed abd let them self seed.

  • Bought similar offer from Woolmans and surprise, surprise not one plant has made a reappearance this year. Have written to Woolmans but they have gone very quiet. It looks as though us gardeners have been taken for a ride by various well known companies.

They should at least give us all a refund!!

I reckon to let someone else do the test drive for all the 'amazing' introductions. It was obvious to me, and many others, that a plant crossed with something tender was unlikely to be hardy.

Yes but like most gardeners we all live in hope!

There are some fairly hardy perennial foxgloves. This cross seems not to be one of them, but just in case anyone is under the impression all perennial forms are tender crosses....

I find D. grandiflora one of the most perennial but it's not a big, blousey, 'in your face' pink for the GCs to sell on sight image

It was hate at first sight for me and Illumination Pink image
