I'm still trying out different cherry varieties and grew Christmas Grape last year, it's a heirloom one, ever so tasty but I didn't read the destructions and grew it as a bush when it's a cordon. Surprisingly, it still produced lots of early tiny toms but finished cropping early. Floridity was the same.
I'm growing them again this year as cordons because they both produced lots of tasty toms despite having their side shoots left on. Would recommend both.
I'm growing 3 types this year, gardeners delight, because everyone said that's the one to go for.. (first time for me), i'm also growing some black cherry, as they sell them in the market in mallorca where my parents spend most of their time and they are loverly. I've also got tigarella, as my nephew wanted me to grow it
The black cherries are looking great atm, germinated and grew very strongly from the start.
The tumbling habit keeps the air flow when in hanging baskets and reduces the splash back during downpours ( or my sloppy watering which is usually done with a glass in my left hand).

CanIDo This - It's too late to sow tom seeds even for the early fruiting varieties but you can purchase seedlings from your local GC.

I'm growing black cherry toms as well. They seem to grow really quickly! Can't wait to see how they turn out.
This year I have reverted back to Tumbler Tom.
