Hello Everyone
Has anyone got a photo of sweetcorn ready to be harvested ????
Thought mine were ready but when i opened one up the corn was white inside even though the tassles were brown
Any photo's would be a big benefit
Thanks

Hi Baza,
Here a picture of ripe sweetcorn
That looks over-ripe to me Rinus - I think that looks as if it's ready to dry, for popcorn and Mexican dishes etc.
I wouldn't wait until the husk is dry and brown if I wanted to eat it as Corn on the Cob - it'll be hard and tough

stick your thumb nail into a kernel, if the liquid comes out clear its not ready, if it comes out milky its ready for harvest, if it comes out gluey its gone over and your best off drying it for seed or popcorn!
