Hi Jane a! I'm Lily by name gardening by nature. I'm allergic to cats and not that fond of them (sorry cat lovers). Lots of very helpful, friendly people on this forum - which reminds me I have another question to post...bye for now
Sorry everyone, as a newcomer, I didn't realise that this was such a highly emotive issue, as cat poo is not very nice whatever the situation. I just kind of assumed that this would be a good place to find solutions and share ideasa. I am really sorry to have brought up what seems to be an ongoing debate and perhaps one better left alone.

H and welcome jane - re you know what - the problem is that there really isn't a solution that works - everything's been tried, sometimes something works for a little while, or for one person/feline, in particular circumstances. Gardeners get frustrated, cat owners get upset. As you say, a subject best avoided .......... there's lots of information out there and you can put 'cat' into the Search tool here and bring up all the old threads on the subject and try some of the suggestions out.

Hi Jane, welcome to the happy group. I'm from Australia, so some of my comments will be 9 hours ahead of you and 6 months out of season, but never mind, they make allowances for me!
By the way I love cats, dogs, kangaroos, wallabies, birds and lots of other creatures, so don't feel bad about getting frustrated with cat poo. We've heard it all before and you'll get some support and some ignoring.
