I have several sarcococca for 5 yrs. The hedge is still as individual small unhealthy looking plants some leaves have gone brown and left stems bare, some leaves look as if they have been attacked ? help !!!!!!!
I have had stems die back in winter, I just cut them off. I've never seen it used as a hedging plant, I don't know if trimming it to shape might cause problems. Some plants don't respond well to that sort of clipping
