Daphne Odora Aureomarginata

I have just had delivered 2 Daphne Odora Aureomarginata in 11cm pots.  The planting instructions on the website said to pot up (though it didn't mention to what size) and plant out after the frosts.  The planting instructions which came with the plant (which were very generalised) said to plant out straight away.  Unfortunately we are having a major revamp of the garden and it won't be ready to plant up until early next year.  As I understand Daphne doesn't like to have her roots disturbed, should I pot up now to a larger size, or should I just leave them in the greenhouse over winter in their original pots? I know I won't get any flowers next year, but I don't want to lose the plants.  Any help/advice would be VERY gratefully received!

Don't leave it in the greenhouse, leave it somewhere sheltered outdoors, but don't forget to water it.

Remove from pots and look at the root system. If it does need potting on, just go for one slightly larger.

I removed one from a friend's garden as she was moving out and it's done just fine .

    Devon.

I have two that are waiting to be planted when the front drive/garden landscaping is finished in October. I will plant both of them in the earth in their pots as you have suggested, brilliant idea image
