How can I deter frogs from my garden (for their own good)
My cat's just brought in her third frog in since I got her in January, unfortunately I've not found one alive.
Of course I knew when I got a cat that they had a tendency to kill things, though really hoped she wouldn't as she's previously had a broken leg so can be a bit slower/less steady than your average cat, but it's still quite upsetting.
I'd not really seen frogs in our garden before, we don't have a pond, but have since read about how they leave ponds in the evening, so assume this is what's happening. There must be a steady supply for her given I've found 3 around the house in the last month.
Is there anyway I can try and deter frogs from our garden?
She doesn't tend to go out much further than our garden, so thinking this might save a few.

You can't really deter frogs from a garden, other than by paving it all over and just having plants in pots. They like damp grass and plants and are inexorably drawn back to the pond where they were spawned each winter/spring.
I suggest that you keep your cat indoors in the evenings as light falls - this is when frogs are active looking for food.
It's also much better for cats to stay in at night as they're not at as much risk from traffic or from attacks by other cats, rats or foxes.

My mum's cat when I was growing up used to like "playing" with frogs. Thankfully he didn't hurt them - not physically anyway. He used to wake mum up in the middle of the night, as if to say he'd finished playing. Mum would take the frog back to the neighbours pond, climbing over the fence in her nightie in the dark.
There will be more frogs about than your cat can catch and kill, trust me. I find frogs everywhere in gardens, even found one in a box ball I was trimming the other day. Let nature take it's course.
My cat Shadow would bring them in and crunch them as they screamed much to my horror and disgust.
He is long dead now and buried at the bottom of the garden under the ash tree and I've had 6 cats since him and not one has shown the slightest interest in frogs, I think they are an acquired taste.
