Disused brick BBQ????

Hi

I have an old brick BBQ in my garden that hasn't been used for a long time. 

I'd like to put a plant in it, but i'm not sure what one. I was also thinking of painting the bricks. I'm looking for some inspiration!

The area is quite shaded until the afternoon and the sun isn't there for long. We have a south west garden.

I'm not sure how i can add a photo?

I really hope somebody can help me image

    Sounds intriguing.image.  To post a pic go to the green tree icon above where you type a post and follow instructions.  Unfortunately this does not work from a phone at the moment.  Computers or laptops where photos are stored are the best bet.  Others may be able to help.

     This is the area it's in. As you can see it all looks a bit boring. We moved in a year ago and haven't done much. Athough most of the other part of the garden has been done.

    Just a thought image If you don't have a GH you could make into something to overwinter plants in image

    I would repaint the whole wall and put a big palm in the BBQ

    What about an old fire grate planted with 'hot' coloured flowers of different heights to give the impression of a fire
    In London. Keen but lazy.
