Yeah I did have the grass box on. The grass was a little damp so it didn't collect up as much as it usually would but most of it. Anyway I need to strim along that edge anyway...
It looks like they have dug little troughs along the boundary and either side of their path so we are going to see what they put in, and then maybe put something in our side if it looks ugly from the back and then put some plants in. The developers said it will be fine to put a little border thing in but we can't put like a full fence in.
Your neighbour's obviously very proud of his new home and is determined to keep it nice - so much better than a neighbour who doesn't give a damn about what the place looks like - so complying as much as possible with what seems like slightly irritating demands will be to your advantage.
If he moves and you get a new neighbour who lets dandelions grow and seed across your lawn, that will be much more irritating
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Of course it should be give and take, but even a bit more generous giving than taking is worthwhile for a quiet life - a bad relationship with neighbours can be a living hell.

Sorry Dove to disagree, but in my experience that doesn't work very well. In our first property We found that by us giving for a quiet life it was all on there terms.. never again. It's give and take in an amical way or not at all .
But it's no problem now , all is good around here , every one gets on well.

There is that.
It's ok complying with a neighbour if it works both ways but as is sometimes the case you get one who wants all there own way.
Like everything else It's give and take
