hello! just thinking ahead. are there many plants that should be sown from seed at this time of year so that they are good and ready for spring - summer planting out?
I have sown Salvias, agastache foxgloves, forget me nots, pink and blue, aquilegia, meadowsweet, witch hazel, marsh marigold, Veronica, dianthus, two types, Echiums, viola, pansy, quaking grass, calanagrosis, pitcher plant, echinacea, meadow salsify, and that big seed head that I asked for ID we think it's calutea.
Gardening on the wild, windy west side of Dartmoor.
There's a lot you can sow Tootles. In addition to Lyn's list I've got baby delphiniums germinated. Also bird's-foot trefoil, bladder campion, astrantia, greater stitchwort, kidney vetch, vervain, salvia verticillata all sown and some germinating. Going to sow aquilegias and sweet violets soon

Thanks Lyn, Fishy. You are both busy! I'll be clearing the greenhouse of tomatoes and cucumbers at the weekend so keen to get something new happening.
No rest for the wicked Tootles
I've still got toms to ripen in the greenhouse yet...
I have just sown some geranium seeds as well.
