Lawn
After such a dry July and now wet August I was surprised to find my lawn sprouting dozens of small brown mushrooms! Any idea what they are and how can I get rid of them without damaging the grass?

Perfect time of year and conditions for fungi - they're part of nature's way of breaking down organic matter in the soil. There's no need to get rid of them - just enjoy them as part of the wonderful natural display we get at this time of year.
However, if you mow the lawn with the toadstools there you'll get a mushy mess, so just knock them down and sweep them away before mowing. You can put them on the compost heap.

DFA is correct. As to what they are, there are many thousands of species of fungi in the UK. Small ones, 5mm across say, are often Galerina species. Marasmius oreades is bigger and common. But there are so many, you need a microscope more often than not.
Dove, there's a little brown mushroom in one of the pots you brought over. You really were generous with the extras
