Hi,

Are these wormcasts? I am asking as I have never seen a worm on my lawn and these tend to leave black/dried out areas on the lawn when dried out, which I believe is unusual. Any help is appreciated and also any solutions if they are wormcasts are appreciated.

Thanks

    they are indeed.

wait until they dry and just brush them with a stiff broom.

Worms are wonderful for the garden.

  • Yes, wonderful wormcasts - if there are a lot of them an alternative to sweeping them off when dry, is to gather them up and save them and use them mixed with sieved garden compost as a seed compost.

You haven't seen worms on the lawn 'cos they spend most of their time down there in the soil enriching, aerating and draining it.  Wonderful worms image
