S/V do not get your underwear in a knot over warm chocolate oozing down all over my wonderfully athletic body, (0nce maybe) pause to cough, music does that to me that wonderful aura of something warm and sweet enveloping you from head to toe. Times I sit at the Piano and the world stops, time stops as you get lost in the beauty of the music. Strictly is the same, memories of dancing from being younger than my Grandchildren and it was the dancing not the fact you got close and personal with a girl, that should read very close and very personal with Ruby my Latin Tutor. Her mantra was our flesh should meld and our bones touch, my cheeks would still be red hours after the lessons were over. Now the joy is watching video of my Grandchildren doing what I did and probably better, watching Strictly as the dancers improve right up to the last show dance. The Blackpool week with all its memories dancing there and other large dance halls in London, Vienna, Italy Spain and even Port Said. This is the best year yet, I do not want anyone to go, if they do go of their own free will then that is their choice, so be it and end of story. Roll on 18:30 tonight.
The problem is that your posts often come across as arrogant and/or aggressive and/or unpleasant. Maybe the problem is the way they're read but maybe you could tone down your rhetoric a bit. Nothing wrong with having strong opinions or sharing knowledge but try a softer delivery.

Vendée - 20kms from Atlantic coast.
"The price good men (and women) pay for indifference to public affairs is to be ruled by evil men (and women)."
That's because I don't have a problem, being fairly direct myself - except for your endless quoting which I've mentioned before - but others clearly do. It's your prerogative to adapt, or not.

Oh, dear: I hesitate again to post on here! When it seemed that perhaps some exchanges had the potential to get a little warmed up (ie not yet heated, but could have been) I tried to lighten the mood. For some that was OK and there was a lively exchange of desires for twiglets etc when watching SCD.
It wasn't all in vain, I hope. I think that we have to remember that the programme is entertainment first and foremost, with some wonderful dance choreography and costumes thrown in for good measusre.
People like Frank can comment with a degree of authority on the dancing; others may be dazzled by the spectacle. None of us is privy to professional dancers or celebrities' motivations in either taking part in the show or leaving prematurely.
That's all. No need to go on the attack or be on the defensive. We all have a right to our own opinion. We have an obligation to think of others in life in general and especially when indulging in the blunt tool of the written word on a message board. ie nuances of body language and facial expression are absent.
On the big plus side, I can hardly wait for tonight's SCD. I want to be entertained. I want to be dazzled. I want to enjoy the whole bloomin' experience! And I will!
I hope we'll get some glorious dancing and choreographies too and that the judges will continue with their largely constructive comments. We tried a new dance school here on Thursday after 15 years of classes in Belgium, the last 6 with Christophe Dradin who was Belgian champ 30 times from when he started competing at about 12 years old.
The new teacher observed our jive and tango and then said that we clearly have a good base of steps and technique! OK to join her class then. Christophe will be pleased.

And I will!

Think I should have a lay down in a dark room for awhile!

It took me a while to work out what sweet sand crisps are! OK, so I know I'm a bit dim, but the penny did drop (eventually). Enjoy them anyway!
