I'd say hedgehog poo - we have several different hedgehogs visit our garden, and they can be identified by their poo (size, texture etc). It does also vary with what they've been eating - soft cat food meat type produces a different poo to some of the cereal based dry cat foods. Now we're using specialist semi-moist hedgehog food along with crushed peanuts, sunflower seeds, mealworms and a few banana chips the poos are different yet again.
Put some of the poos in the dry to dry out - if it's hedgehog poo when it's dry you'll see the glitter of the hard black beetle cases that form a large part of the hedgehog diet.
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
It's difficult to get a sense of the scale. Could have done with a 50p piece in the shot. Nevertheless, I'd say it was a somewhat chubby hedgehog after a vindaloo. How about sending it to Dr Gillian McKeith for a more thorough analysis?
