plum tree

my victoria plum tree has no fruit this year despite having lots of blossom .

last year was a poor crop .

but previous 5 years have been plentiful

it was pruned hard 4 years ago , but that didnt affect the following years fruit image

    Plums are like that,last year we had a lot and this year only a few pounds, we have a Victoria and czar both the same. You've got to except that they don't always fruitimage

    Hi Peter,

    I know apple trees have sometimes a " off year"  No blossom, no fruit but healthy leaves. It happens if the tree had in the past year a lot of fruit and it skips a year to build energy and stenght for next year. Maybe it's with plum teee the same.

    My plum tree didn't  have any blossom last spring but I'am hopefull for next summer.
