Sweet corn flowers
in Fruit & veg
Hi all
i have tried to grow sweet corn outside for a couple of years with no success. Too wet and cold. Last year I erected a small tunnel and grew them in it. My only problem was that I left the cobs on the plants too long. I grew them again this year and have learned from last year but my 'problem' is that some of the male flowers have small cobs at the top of the flower complete with silks.
Anyone got any ideas as to what is going on?
Thanks
Seamus

If you're a member of the RHS you could try emailing them a photo, or emailing the seed company?
