The first pic looks like normal outdoor cucumbers - some varieties have prickly skins and are sometimes a bit chunky. They often have a better flavour than the smooth-skinned ones.

Says Bush here on packet from Suttons Dove,..maybe ive been looking after them too good as there in an old compost site with tomatoes and sweet peppers and in same big plot as my two pumkins.....maybe ive did something wrong as im only "Just getting courgettes"?
