Viburnum beetle

Should I treat the soil with a suitable pesticide after removing a very large viburnum bush from my garden because it had been destroyed by viburnum beetle. I want to replant as soon as possible with non viburnum plants!

    Jane, Viburnum beetles only attack virburnum so as you are not planting any new ones there is no need to do anything.

    A trowel in the hand is worth a thousand lost under a bush.
