    @ Fairygirl - is the crocosmia you're thinking of 'Solfaterre'? Smaller than the rest, with a bronzy tint to the foliage? I've got a small clump in a pot that I dug up last year, MUST REPLANT TODAY!

    it is also less invasive, and more tender than most.

    Doesn't ring a bell fig. I like 'Emily McKenzie' but I think the one I'm thinking of might be 'Citronella'. 

    It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

    ..I wish my Crocosmia's would spread a bit more.  I have one called 'Zeal Tan' which is a strong orange/red colour, quite hot.... bit like our Fairygirl there..image

  • Hi guys........

    If you buy crocosmia as dry corms in a bag they need to be soaked overnight...... that is the only way you will get them to grow. When you plant them water them in very well too.
