Night Scented Stock

For years I planted Night Scented Stock beneath my lounge window so I could enjoy the scent on warm summer nights (remember them?). For the last 5 years no matter how many I plant they refuse to appear. Help!

They don't like germinating in my soil either so I start them off in modules and plant them out when an inch or two tall.

A trowel in the hand is worth a thousand lost under a bush.
  • Thank you very much, I shall try that next year.
  • Try what 'Bob' suggests - we might both be happy bunnies next year!!! Yea! Let me know how you go on.

You might be onto something HH - I'll also try seedaholic as there are a couple of other things I want from there.  One problem with using modules is that they absolutely need to be planted out while still small.  If you let them grow too big in the modules (easy to do in the mad rush of spring!) they don't make very good plants later on.
