frosted lilies

Back in March, when we had a few nice days, quite a few of my potted lilies decided to grow.  They got to between 4 - 7 inches in height, nice bushy leaves on top.   Then came the snow and very, very hard frosts with wind chill.  Most of the tops are now wilted, mushy and not at all well.  does anyone think they will produce a second shoot?  If so, shall I take off the dead shoot?  Or have we had it for this year, or indeed for ever?  Any ideas very welcome please.
