Tree for windy/sunny garden?

Looking for advice for a tree for my sunny/windy garden. Currently have an acer that has wind burn so looking for another tree that will survive and would like something colourful? Any advice appreciated

How about a Rowan?  The red berries are very decorative and loved by birds.  It's a tough tree which should thrive in almost any conditions (it's not known as Mountain Ash for nothing!) image

My favourite would be an Amelanchier, spring blossom, autumn colour.

I agree about the Amelanchier - really beautiful small tree (slow growing). Has lovely white flowers in the spring and stunning red foliage in autumn with berries for the birds. Our garden is in a windy/sunny area and this tree has been fine.
