Hi, I am a novice gardener. My Roses have been cut back over the years and are at least 35 years old. I love them dearly but I know to keep them going they need pruning. Should I have done this during November or seeing as spring is totally delayed, should I prune the plants now?. Please give me some help

Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
The recent frosts have damaged the new growth on some of my roses, so if you have left your pruning until now you have done the right thing.
Spring is just about to start. We may survive.
