Apples from pips

Has any one ever groan a apple tree from a pip ,I am trying it with my granddaughter

    You will get a plant-in time you will get a tree-what you are very,very unlikely to get is a tree that bears anything edibleimage

    Just look on as a bit of fun

  • I guess the granddaughter might have lost interest by then anyway image

     

  • I grew some breaburn apple seeds, they grew to about 6" then I planted them out, the weather turned nasty and they died. I was told that they would bear fruit.

    They will bear fruit, but whether it is nice to eat is another matter!  The chances favour crab-apple like fruit.

    A trowel in the hand is worth a thousand lost under a bush.
