Courgette rust

My courgettes have survived the low sunshine summer and slug attacks, but now the bottom leaves are rusty and curling.  Some of the top leaves are fresh and green. The courgettes themselves are full length but very slim! do I need to feed them with something? They have had some organic chicken pellet manure.  They have plenty of light even though we haven't had a lot of sun in the North West of England this summer.

hi courgettes still going strong and having to keep up with them and picking is a full time job. miss one and its a biggin. Comfrey is the main plant for the feed and has made a great difference as well as the beds being at least three feet high full of last years compost you can only imagine the heat when you dig a hole a foot down it is amazing.

a simple tip i use is 4 pint milk cartons filled with water stuffed with comfrey leaves four weeks later the feed is ready to use. ps it stinks

pumpkins also in the same beds and they are taking off  happy gardeningimage
