conifer trees patchy and brown

Hi,

Im looking for some help please. I have 2 small conifer trees in my garden which have gone patchy and brown.

What can i do to make them look better and when is it bedt to prune them ?

Hi leo all you can do is cut the brown out it won't regrow from there, it should be narrower at the top than the bottom.
