Bandita - any perennials you buy at this time of year will be good sized plants which can be divided to give you several small plants. You can then pot them up, keep them in a sheltered spot over winter, and then you can pot on again in spring to give decent sized plants for planting out in summer. You can treble the value - great if you have a lot of spaces to fill
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Try and get a an idea of what you eventually want the garden to look like Bandita. We can all get seduced by a lovely specimen now and again, but if it doesn't suit the 'look' required, it's not a bargain. I speak from experience! You can also grow lots of perennials from seed so worth thinking about that, and of course, we have a seed ad plant swap here on the forum where you'll get loads of offers

It's this one I have, only one though. NL2 nice pictures. What's the yellow one they look nice and although I love purple, to have some yellow as well that would be good. My campanula stayed very small probably planted it too late. Hoping for a bigger healthier plant next year. It f.lowered for a few weeks and then the flowers disappeared and the plant didn't get any bigger

It's why I've stayed away from the nursery this year!
But I may have a little visit soon - to reward myself for all my efforts you understand
I'll wait till September though - they have 10% off then. I'm not daft - just canny
