    Excuse me veering off at a slight tangent - Verdun, how's your Star Child?  Mine's just coming into bloom and so much better than last year - it's next to the Honka Yellow that Wonky gave me and both looking great image

    The first winter after we moved here I was debating , to lift or not to lift. In the end I thought I'd err on the side of caution. The day after I'd lifted them I noticed the holes already had standing water in the bottom and we'd had no rain.

    Agree re feeding and foliage Verdun. Nasutriums give a wonderful example of that.

    Hostafan1, all these inwanted apostrophe esses floating around, dozens of them, I just put it down to that predictive text.   Thank heavens I don't have that, it would drive me nuts.
