Are you sure it's a bush?

It looks like one of the inulasimage

    In the sticks near Peterborough
  • I am not sure its a bush...just guessing as I am not a real gardener...saw this in a neighbour's garden but when I asked him what it is he did not know so I have turned to the experts for an answer all being well...

  • I think it may be rudbeckia.

I think it is Inula hookeri which I have in my garden.  It is a perennial much loved by bumblebees and butterflies.

Inula was my first thought. There's a huge stand of it in a garden near me.

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

Laurie Google Inula hookeri and you will see long slender leaves and spiky flowerheads just like your picture.
