Veg to sow now for winter?

Can anyone please advise me which veg are good to sow now for a winter crop? I only have a small raised bed but it is quite deep (18"), so I might be able to sow root crops if this is appropriate. I think I am too late for sprouts and parsnips? What about red cabbage? Any ideas welcome, thanks.

way too late to sow sprouts and parsnips, to be honest there is very little you can sow now for winter crops,

you can buy plants from the garden centre for most veg at this time of year however.

or you can sow quick crops like radish and lettuce and you might even get a crop of French beans if you get them in sharpish!

once you get into October you can start sowing broad beans and garlic and onion sets can go in.
