Gold and black shiny ladybird type beetle is making holes in my young wallflower plants does anyone know what they are and can I stop them

Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Sun has gone in now and cannot find them will try to get a pic tomorrow if the sun is out! forecast not good for down here tomorrow though
