still very cold

i have noticed despite the cold weather new shoots are still appearing up out of the ground, so to protect them from the everlasting cold weather we are having at the moment i cover them with a home made cloche ,i take a coke or any plastic bottle and cut the bottom off and place it over the new shoot this seems to do the trick .hope this is of use to anyone
