Been shopping around and looking online today and much prefer the wooden ones (in particular with wood or brick lower wall), BUT cannot afford them, apart from one called BillyOh which sounds too good to be true - argos on ebay (£299 for 6x6). Plot won't be ready until late September so Im going to keep going on freecycle sites etc and keep my ear to the ground. My garden is so lush with the few seeds I managed to sow on windowsills that I want to do even more next spring!
to replace my storm wrecked 8x10 aluminium greenhouse with a house of similar qualtity was £3,665.00. I opted for a 48 x 21 foot polytunnel for the same price , and it's virtually frost free: my banana was fine.

No one sensible has their banana out in a storm...
mercifully , under cover.
BTW, someone ( nerdy ) on our road , recorded a gust of 92mph that night.
Tee hee Steve....
We have all had severe wind, we merely don't record the speed!
could have been worse, it might have been a cucumber out there.
