ID this please

I thought this was one of my freshias but now I'm not sure, can anyone tell me?

It was one of my summer bulbs I planted in spring image

    It's one of those Gladioli - peacock orchids they're known as- I forget the proper name. They're very pretty -  I had some last year. Treat it as an annual really. I didn't bother lifting them so they died a death in our wet weather.

    It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

    They used to be called Acidanthera, but I think they are gladiolus murielae now. I planted 100 last year and didnt get one flower.

    That's the name I was looking for fidget! I think Acidanthera is such a lovely word - why do they have to change stuff image

    I didn't bother with them last year - probably just as well with this year's weather, but the ones I planted the previous year were good. 

    I may need to make pancakes now...image
