resusing soil after harvest of potatoes with scab?

    It only affects potatoes so it will be OK to scatter behind your trees or use as a conditioner on your borders as long as they don't contain ericaceous plants - rhodos, azaleas, skimmia, pieris - as they hate lime.

    Seed potatoes often come already infected with scab (IIRC, a supplier's seed stock can still be certified, even if 5% of potatoes are infected) so also worth trying a different supplier next year.  MPCs also vary in how much lime is present so using a different brand is also worth a punt.

    Similar to Pulastris (Senior moment).  Although when I an my father grew potatoes and veg, we alswyas gave the plot a treatment of lime.  Never experienced scab, or most of the pests/diseases.
