My tomatoes are reaching roof of the greenhouse and fruiting well , do I need to nip the tops off , or let them do there own thing ?

Thanks.

I usually stop them when I think that any tomatoes that form won't make it before the cold weather. I stop them when they reach the roof; take the flowers off at the beginning of August and remove any tiny tomatoes at the beginning of September.

I do not rate green tomato chutney more than 2/10 so I don't want loads of green tomatoes.

I second all that, particularly timing the housekeeping to take account of the end of the season.
