Rose identification?
in Plants
Hi, I bought some roses from my local florist, they were past their best and only cost me a pound for a bunch. They are very highly scented and a beautiful orange colour. I went back to ask them the name but the florist couldn't find it. She said she thought its name began with an N and they last a very long time as cut flowers. Can anyone tell me what they are so I can grow some in my garden please? Picture attached

Maybe Benjanim Britten?
It is unusual to find scented roses in a florist's. They usually get their stock from abroad so it could be a variety that you can't buy in this country.
Have a good look at the stems, it might be possible to take some cuttings.Dip in hormone rooting powder and make a narrow trench with your spade, and gently firm the cuttings in. You will need to keep a check that they don't dry out, otherwise leave and if you feel they are growing move in about 18 months Hope this works!
