Twilight Gardening

Question is, after this cooking programme and watching Gardeners World which I can see is taping, do I take my torch and pot up some sweet pea and gazania seed. Or will the other half and you all think u have lost the plot! Feel like u haven't done enough today as we did family visits, that's another day gone!!

    I would, although it's likely to be blooming freezing! Too much good gardening time lost already this year with these arctic winds, plus you might find some slugs lurking with that torch....

    I think I may cop out and do some sowing in the kitchen. The other half has nipped to the pub to see the villagers (its like the WI I'm telling you!!!) so while he is away I will try and get the seeds in without spreading compost and vermiculite all over!!! Then straight into the conservatory to propogate.

    I'd rather stay in the warm, kitchen sounds a good idea.

    I braved it! Hat coat and dog and torch. So that is 20 gazania and 18 sweet peas set. I wondered why my feet were so cold and realised I had my slippers on -oops!!! Now thinking what else can I get done in the twilight!!! I think I have hit aches in my feet though. image

    Yup I know. All my flower beds at the front have had total soil replacement so no clay!!!! The back flower beds I have got clay parts and more loamy dry, so will watch where I'm putting them
