ticked for response

Hi jo47.  I found the tick box only registered my choice when I made a response.  So if I looked at a thread and unticked the box WITHOUT making a comment it ignored me.  If I made a comment it seemed to register my preference.  Hope this makes sense and helps.

mmm...  Not sure then.  I just found I ticked the box on one popular thread and had so many notifications it got a bit silly (as some weren't really on topic).  I kept unticking the box but it ignored me (I hadn't made a comment as I didn't have anything to add).  Then I thought to try just putting a comment in (something general just to have something to type) THEN I unticked the box and it worked.  I noticed a thread on here recently from someone new to GW who was asking for people to let her know about problems with the forum as her job was to make it all work better.  I'll see if I can find it again and post a link for you (it might be worth mentioning your problem to her if it carries on).

Not ideal.  Is it worth asking the question again on the forum but giving it a title like "please please help me"?  This might attract more viewers which might increase your chances of getting some useful suggestions?

    Think that's the plan image

Good idea.  If they've brought someone on board to improve the forum that's a really good start and shows they're trying.  Good luck.
