Plant suggestions

I am hoping somebody could give me some suggestions on a climbing plant that would do well in partial shade and would preferable be a late summer / autumn flowering plant?

Perennial sweet pea.  If you regularly pick the flowers, it will flower from early Summer through to the first frost.

  • Clematis?

The yellow clematis Tangutica answers your question. I like clematis "Betty Corning" with perfumed lilac flowers, July to September.

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
  • Thank you very much for the suggestions. Will definitely be shopping this weekend

I'd say Clematis as well. Lots of varieties which will flower at this time of year and into autumn. Etoile Violette is a particular favourite of mine and is superb just now. image

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
