back ground for sansevieria cylindrica

ronenronen Posts: 2

hi

I have a roof terrace with a 120X120 flower bed with 10 cm deep perlite. In it I grow several sansevieria cylindrica surrounded by Viola hederacea. behind it there is a wall with pipes coming out at 40 cm from ground level. what would be a good plant to hide those pipes while serving as a background to compliment and bring out the sansevieria cylindrica. as both  sansevieria cylindrica and Viola hederacea seem to be doing well, I guess it would have to be something that can thrive in the same conditions. its a shaded, wind protected corner of the terrace. oh, and the terrace is in TLV, so mediterranean climate....

I think that some of the artemisia varieties may suit your purpose - the aromatic silver leaves should set off the darker green spears of the sanseviera cylindrica nicely - and I would have thought they'd be happy in the same conditions.

thank you dovefromabove. great suggestion. I love artemisia - also in my tea image - and indeed it will make great backdrop for sansiviera.

I actually have artemisia on the other side of the terrace which is exposed to full hard core mediterranian sun all day long, and it thrives there, so it didnt occur to me that it could work in that fully shaded bed. what do you think?
