I've got a quite a few of them flowering put they're not as pretty as some I got from a nursery last year. But hey, they were free! image

I think mine went down, not up. I never saw them ......I'm sure I sowed the seeds the right way up.

  • Given my inverted perspectives above, I am not sure I dare criticise!

For some reason Steve my phone won't upload pics tonight but I'm quite happy with my zinnias. Admittedly a bit garish image

  • I had never grown them before but also I find them a wee bit wanting Steve.  I hate to say they are ugly but I won't grow them again image

  • I didn't realise that a flower could clash with itself!

As I said earlier, one man's meat and all that.

  • These are mine also grown from the free seeds, I think they brighten up the house wall, I like them ,Although I wouldn't want to mix them with any other colour.

  • Chrissy, you are right. They look far better solo. I have, unfortunately, used them to fill the odd gap!

At least they are only annuals...

I also see you managed to avoid the hot pink with bright orange/yellow stamens, my particular non-favourite!
