You may as well pull that one out, they are best as annuals, sow some more seeds next Spring for fresh ones.

cut the stems of the delphiniums, not sure if you will get a fresh lot of flowers now though, but you will next year.

Gardening on the wild, windy west side of Dartmoor.

It looks a bit like artemesia which is a perennial but need to be pruned to stop it getting leggy.  If you look at the base you'll see new growth is starting to shoot so I'd give both this and your delphiniums a haircut to promote new growth.

me personally i wouldn't, i'd let them die back. Then cut them back. My way of thinking is these plants produce massive flowers. It most take a massive effect for the plant to do so. Just producing one show of flowers each year by my way of thinking gives the plant enough of a rest bite to produce a spectecular display the following year. And boy mine have been eye openers this year.

I think it's Senecio cineraria.  If it is they are best grown as annuals but I bet if you cut it back it would shoot again if it's happy. Good luck.

It doesn't look happy though.  Does it get lots of sun.  I think they like it hot and dry.  It might have gone a bit leggy trying to get up to some light?  If it's still not happy after being cut back maybe it's worth considering moving it to a better position.
