got weeds growing up behind our garden sheds, & they keep growing into mt shed. It is very difficult to get too them. the people who live behind our sheds do not do much gardening, how do i kill these shrubs off & brambles
Sneak behind the sheds and spray the weeds with strong weed killer. We had to do that in our previous garden. The owners of the land never even noticed that the weeds had gone.
did think of talking to neighbour but don't know when they will be in. also thought of putting a note through their door to ask if it is alright to come round & sort it out myself.will try that
My neighbour has a tree that had got enormous, they weren't interested but I offered to do the work to trim it and they offered to let me cut it in half if I wanted, they didn't care. I did the work while they stood and watched, we were all happy and they were amazed that two 5' girls could tackle a job like that. I now trim it once a year for them, and me
Spraying your side will kill the whole plant including whatever part of the shrub or whatever it is that's growing in your neighbour's garden. You may need to apply it twice for brambles and the like

Hi Freddie, I'm a little confused (not unusual). You refer to the problem as weeds but also as shrubs. If they're weeds I'd apply Roundup to them now and then, next spring, treat the area, behind your shed, with Pathclear or the like. This will stop the weeds growing back for a few months, then re-apply the Pathclear. However, if they are shrubs, growing in your neighbours garden, you can only prune any overhanging branches or foliage. You also have to ask your neighbour if they want the prunings back. I know it's daft. You cannot, simply, throw the prunings back into their garden. If you use weedkiller on a shrub belonging to your neighbour then, technically, it's criminal damage.
As far as I can see, the best course of action is to talk to your neighbour and agree a course of action.

Roundup Ultra would probably do the trick.
